I'm not much for flaky people or friends collectors. I'm Samantha, 19, and from Jonesboro, AR. I'm a blonde hair/blue eyed German/Scandinavian. I really want to become a doctor, but honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life. I've had panic attacks for over 10 years (I take 6mg Klonopin daily- nice, yeah?) I live in an entirely religious area, and my grandfather was a southern baptist preacher. Because of that, I pretty much loathe religion. I listen to music like Nine Inch Nails, Alec Empire, and Deadsy. I think marijuana should be sold in vending machines.

Seeing as my userinfo is pretty....scarce...here's some info about me:
My name is Ashley Rae and I'm twenty-one. I live in MI but far from where you would think MI is...unless you're familiar with the MI/WI/MN area. I live in a super small town where there's not a whole lot to do so you can imagine it gets pretty boring but in the end, I'd never leave. I bought a house last year with my boy and I love it! We're getting married next August so you can imagine until after that, there's going to be a lot of wedding babble. I currently work at my mom's flower shop but after the wedding, I'm attending cosmetology school.
I'm a huge music nerd. My absolute favorite genres are classic rock, punk and ska. I've seen a lot of amazing people live (including Rancid, Bouncing Souls, Street Dogs, Dropkick Murphys, Social Distortion, The Briggs, Suicide Machines, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND.) I'm one of those nerds obsessed with songs that have good lyrics. I also love a good bass line or a drum solo.
Eh, my entries consist of a little bit of everything. I tend to blab a lot but then I might disappear for a couple weeks. You'll find a lot of pictures of my dog, Axel and you'll find I talk about my boy too much. I often find myself going on for long periods of time about The Sims 2 or my fifteen fish I have. Most entries are on the happy side but...come on, a journal's a journal and sometimes you just have to rant!!

Hi everybody! It's been a good couple weeks since I've checked in with this comm., and I haven't seen a lot of posts lately. Just wanted to see how everyone is doing.
Also, I have a couple of questions, if anyone has answers or opinions, or simply wants me to shut my curious face, speak up!
Okay, so tattooing. I know that scars can be inked over, but there's all sorts of drama to go with it - some artists flat out refuse to ink a cutter, some are too weirded out, some don't think it's worth it because the ink won't take as well, if it takes at all. So I was wondering if any of you have experiences in getting scars inked over - was the artist cool about it? How did the tattoo come out? How fresh/old were the scars?
My other question about it is deals more with the morals of inking over scars. A part of me would really like to find a good, open-minded artist who could help be design basically two whole sleeves for my arms, and do as good a job as possible. I love tattoos, and I've always wanted sleeves and stuff, so it isn't as if I'm using tattooing as a last ditch effort to cover something up. But on the other hand, aren't my scars tattoos unto themselves? They represent me, and some of the most tumultuous times of my life, and how I've overcome a lot of psychological drama and whatnot. I love the scars and how they look, but I know for a fact I've love good tattoos more. Does anyone here think that inking over scars is basically like lying to yourself, covering them up permanently and living the rest of your life in denial about cutting?
Any advice/stories/opinions are really appreciated here you guys. Scars or no, in the last couple of years I've really, really effing wanted to get sleeves done. To me personally, it would be like killing two birds with one stone - I'd get my kick-ass tats, and I could also wear short sleeves again without people (namely my mother, whose heart it would break to know I cut) ever really knowing how fucked up I've been. I seriously think I'm done cutting. After my last fit, I woke up one morning and just...wanted to stop. I actually sat down the other night with the intention of doing it, but just...didn't want to anymore. Right now, I just feel like I'm ready to leave this behind and move on with my life.
Sorry for the rambly ramble folks...It's just that I don't want people to think I'm lying to myself if I get scars covered up, but in a way I just don't want to see them anymore, don't want to be reminded of all that anymore, ya know?

My name is Caitlyn, but I go by Caity. I'm turning 19 a week from today. I live in the state of Oregon in the US of A. I've been an LJ-er for a long time, but I recently made a new journal after a long hiatus. After a year of trying different jobs and hobbies, and living away from my parents, I've found my calling and moved back home.
If there were a trailor for my journal, it would go something like this; A small-town girl takes a much-needed break after a year of working and finding herself. She'll need a breath of fresh air because great things await her in the near future. She'll find herself falling even more in love with her boyfriend Jake of 2 1/2 years. Watch her as her first day of Cosmetology school approaches, filled with nervous excitement. See if the friendships she started in High School will go the distance. The future is filled with exciting things, which means there are sure to be a few bumps along the way.
I consider myself to be a fun girl. I'm very laid-back. I have my opinions, which tend to be pretty Conservative, but I don't judge or discriminate. I love fashion (especially shoes). I watch a lot of TV shows (thanks to DVR), such as Shear Genius, Project Runway, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and Desperate Housewives.
I try to post once a day, keep my entries interesting, post pictures, read my friends' entries, comment, answer all questions, etc.

My name is Dawn. I'm 17-years-old until August, and I've lived in Scotland my whole life. Writing is my one true love. I want to be a successful journalist [going to study journalism at university in September], and then hopefully a published author. I love any other kind of art. Soo...this is awkward.
The Basics: I'm Lauren, 19, and I just finished my first year of college. I'm majoring in English & philosophy...which are both absolutely useless, I know. Etc, etc. I'm an atheist but I'm not particularly against religion unless you're a crazed fundamentalist trying to proselytize.
Um, interests? Liberal politics, musicals (Rent, anyone?), sarcasm, literature (Vonnegut, Stoppard, Atwood, Ondaatje...), being unemployed, The Daily Show
I made the "add me" community rounds a few years ago and ended up with a lot of friends who obviously hadn't read my post and just added me for the hell of it. I try to comment, but if you post a lot about drugs/suicide/how much you hate everyone, I probably won't have much to say. Also, I *am* an English major, so expect a certain degree of grammar-nazism. I mean, I won't stab you to death if you spell something wrong, but, you know. Make an effort.
